As the NFL London games continue to sell out their tickets each and every year it would appear that the game is continuing to go from strength to strength in the UK and Europe. This is the reason I started this blog as I thought I’d start from the ground up in an attempt to help educate new fans to the game, with the Beginners Guide, as well as blogging about what’s going on with the teams involved in the NFL London games each year.
I’d also like to have a community in which we can all chat, post and share articles and images, run polls and all other NFL London community-related stuff. There are already quite a few Facebook community groups for this as that’s, clearly, the most used social media platform, but what about other platforms that are out there? There seems to be a never-ending amount of social media platforms for us all to sign our lives away to but one that I’m starting to like more and more is Google+…..ok, you can stop laughing now.
I know that a couple (or more) years ago Google+ made an attempt to make a dent in the social media world but it would appear that it hasn’t quite been the success it would have liked. There is, however, an NFL community on there (as well as loads of other stuff) but, from what I can see so far, it is based in the U.S. This is great as that community is as passionate about the NFL as we Brits and Europeans might be about the, let’s say, Premier League or Serie A etc.
What I’d like to do is create a community on Google+ for fans of the NFL London/NFL International Series of games where we can all interact and share our stuff. Maybe you know where to get cheap merchandise and want to share with like-minded fans or you know where there’s going to be a great get-together before or after the game(s) or you know of a great hotel that people who’re making a weekend of it might want to try or, maybe, you just want to chat about what’s going on with the series and teams etc etc etc.
Basically, let’s get an NFL London community going!
Where is this Community?
If you’re not on Google+ already then simply create a Google account then navigate to Google+ (aka Google Plus) – there are so many other great free apps and stuff that you can have access to with a single Google account it’s brilliant. You can also have more than one account.
When you’re on Google+, simply click here and go to this Community to join in. It’s such a simple thing to get to grips with that you’ll be posting your stuff in no time!
If you have any questions about Google+ or about this community you can either use the comments below or contact me via the contact page.
Come on, let’s get this community going!
